PiQ Games Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are the agreement between you and PiQ Games ("PiQ", "we", "us") for using PiQ Euchre and any other game we offer under the PiQ Games name, including our mobile apps and the website at piqgames.com (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of this agreement.
2. Who can use PiQ
You must be at least 13 years old to use PiQ. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
We may ask you to confirm your age, and we may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 13.
3. Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Please:
- Give us accurate information when you sign up.
- Keep your sign-in secure and do not share it.
- Keep to one account per person. Do not create new accounts to get around a removal or a block, or to gain an unfair advantage.
- Choose a display name that follows these terms. We may refuse or change a name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or imitates our robot players.
If you think someone else has used your account, tell us right away at support@piqgames.com.
4. How to behave
PiQ has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Do not use the Service to:
- Harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone.
- Post or send content that is hateful or discriminatory, sexually explicit, graphically violent, or illegal.
- Impersonate another person or PiQ.
- Share someone else's private information.
- Spam, advertise or solicit.
- Cheat, exploit bugs, use automated tools or third-party software to gain an advantage, or team up with other players to manipulate results.
- Interfere with the Service, probe it for weaknesses, or reach it by any means we have not approved.
We report content that endangers children to the authorities.
5. Chat and direct messages
Chat and direct messages are for friendly table talk, and everything in section 4 applies to them.
A profanity filter is on by default. Words that match our filter list appear as asterisks. You can turn the filter off in Chat Settings, and then you see chat and direct messages unfiltered. The filter does not catch everything, and it does not make content acceptable if it breaks these terms.
A direct message is visible to the person you send it to. We may review messages that are reported, or that we need to examine to keep the Service safe or to meet legal obligations.
6. Reporting and blocking
We review every report and respond within 24 hours.
- Report: from a player's name in chat, in a direct message, or in the lounge players list, choose Report and pick a reason. The player you report is not told.
- Block: choose Block from the same places. Blocking hides that player's chat and direct messages from you and stops their direct messages to you. You can unblock anyone at any time from the blocked players list in Chat Settings, and their messages reappear.
You can also reach us at any time at support@piqgames.com.
7. What we may remove or restrict
We may remove content, warn you, limit features, or suspend or close your account at any time if we believe you broke these terms, harmed other players, or put the Service at risk. Serious or repeated violations lead to permanent removal.
Content we remove may disappear for every player who could see it. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@piqgames.com and we will take another look.
8. Account deletion and what is kept
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, inside the app: go to My Dashboard, then Account, then Delete my account, and confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
When your account is deleted, we remove your profile, your email, your sign-in, and the chat and direct messages you sent. Finished games and rankings stay so that the other players keep their full game history, but your name is replaced with a placeholder such as "Deleted Player #123", and nothing in that history links back to you. Your display name becomes available for others to use.
If you cannot sign in, email support@piqgames.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We handle these requests as quickly as we can and within 30 days. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
9. Game play, fair play and rankings
PiQ is a game, and we want it to be fair. Rankings and stats are for fun. We may correct, adjust or reset them, for example to remove games affected by cheating, and we do not promise they will be kept.
Robot players may fill seats at your table, and a table can end when players leave or lose their connection. We do not guarantee that any game will finish or be counted.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, and you give PiQ permission to use it to run the Service. This covers your messages, display name, avatar and anything else you submit.
Specifically, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and deliver your content to other players, and to review, remove or copy it as needed to run, protect and improve the Service. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that remain briefly in backups.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
The software, game design, artwork, sounds and names in the Service belong to PiQ or its licensors. Credits in the app lists third-party material. These terms give you only a personal, limited right to use the Service.
11. Service changes and availability
We may change, pause or end any part of the Service at any time. PiQ is still growing, so you may run into bugs, downtime or lost game data. We work to keep things running, but we do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We may update the app and the game over the air, and we may require an update to keep playing. Some features may be offered for a limited time or while we test them.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we make no promises about it beyond what the law requires.
To the extent the law allows, PiQ is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits.
We are not responsible for what other players post or do. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits a right that the law does not let us limit.
13. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. For a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and using the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms. The latest version is always at piqgames.com/terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and disputes will be handled in the courts located in Michigan, unless the law where you live gives you other rights. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
